Which of the top 16 Overwatch 2 esports teams will take home the lion’s share of $1,000,000?
The Overwatch Champion Series' (OWCS) Midseason Championship draws near, and ahead of the competitive action, Blizzard Entertainment revealed more information about what viewers can expect during the event. Read on for all of the latest OWCS Midseason Championship 2025 details, including the key dates, where to catch all of the esports action, and how to unlock some free Overwatch 2 skins and loot boxes!
OWCS Midseason Championship 2025
This Overwatch 2 esports event will go from July 31 and Aug. 3. All of the action will begin at 6 a.m. PT each day. This particular tournament will happen after the OWCS Midseason Championship Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), which means only the best of the best will duke it out for the bulk of the $1,000,000.
OWCS Midseason Championship format
Sixteen teams will be divided into four groups of four. Then, they will battle in the Group Stage from July 31 to Aug. 1. Only the top two teams from each group will head to the Playoffs Stage slated for Aug. 2 to Aug. 3. From there, the remaining eight Overwatch 2 teams will fight under a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner of the circuit's second live event of the year.
Speaking of the participating teams, they will include Crazy Raccoon, T1, All Gamers Global, VARREL, The Gatos Guapos, Geekay Esports, Team Liquid, NTMR, Al Qadsiah, Twisted Minds, Virtus.pro, Weibo Gaming, Team CC, ROC Esports, and ZoKorp Esports. One final team will be determined via the aforementioned LCQ.

Where to watch and what to expect
Folks will be able to watch the OWCS Midseason Championship 2025 action on Twitch and YouTube. According to Blizzard Entertainment, there will also be a lot of viewership incentives between July 31 and Aug. 3. These will include rewards such as the OWCS Away and Away skins for Kiriko, Genji, Juno.
Viewers who wish to get a boost in Overwatch 2 Season 17 Battle Pass XP will get the opportunity to earn some free tier skips as well. Love loot boxes? Then there will be four free ones to earn throughout the event. Those who will be at the event in person will be able to snag an exclusive player icon, spray, and name card, too.
In terms of other in-game items to look forward to, Blizzard Entertainment revealed that there will be a Midseason Championship Bundle plus some Partner Team cosmetics up for grabs in the near future.
