Popular voice actor, Howard Wang, joins Overwatch 2 as Wuyang

Overwatch 2 is notorious for throwing in new characters every new season, and with the release of Season 18 just around the corner, the game is adding a brand new Hero for gamers to play as, named Wuyang. And who better to voice Wuyang than the popular American voice actor, Howard Wang?

Overwatch 2 has various characters voiced by famous voice actors, many of them popular within the anime world. Howard Wang joining the cast, however, is a legendary feat for the popular shooter.

Wang, who has voiced iconic characters within the world of anime and gaming, will now give fans his best with the upcoming Hero, Wuyang.

Set to release on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Wuyang is the new playable character coming to the game. He is the 44th Hero to be added to the game and has special water-based abilities, making him lethal on the battlefield.

With Wang voicing the new character, fans can expect quite a few iconic lines to come from Wuyang after his release.

The popular voice actor, Howard Wang, is well-known for many of the characters he has portrayed in the past. One of the most famous roles Wang has ever portrayed was Kenshin Himura in the recent reboot of Rurouni Kenshin.

The actor has also starred in popular anime such as Kaiju No. 8, Solo Leveling and more.

Video game-wise, Wang has played characters in various The Legend of Heroes games, Honka: Star Rail and more. He is no stranger to the world of video games.

Wang's impressive resume is exciting for the Overwatch 2 community, as many are sitting aside idly, waiting to get a look at how the actor portrays Wuyang.
