Path of Exile 2, an action RPG by Grinding Gear Games (GGG), has officially launched its early access phase today, December 6, 2024. Set years after the original Path of Exile, players will return to Wraeclast to combat the corruption spreading across the land.

What's in Path of Exile 2 early access?

The early access version of Path of Exile 2 includes six playable characters, unique endgame content, and couch co-op with full cross-play and cross-progression across all supported platforms.

Players can choose from six classes: Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Mercenary, Witch, or Sorceress. Each class can ascend to two specialized roles as the game progresses, enhancing their ability to clear waves of monsters in the endgame.

During the early access phase, players will face 50 bosses and over 400 monster types while exploring seven unique endgame systems, including the Ascension Trials, Delirium, Rituals, and more.

A second campaign difficulty, Cruel Difficulty, is also available, offering a more challenging experience with greater rewards as players rediscover Wraeclast.

How to play from early access

The early access version of Path of Exile 2 is available on PC, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store. Players can purchase Early Access keys or supporter packs at pathofexile2.com. Prices range from $30 to $480, with bonuses varying from in-game items to physical collectibles.

As of December 6, early access keys have surpassed one million redemptions, according to an official announcement on X (formerly Twitter). This milestone highlights the community's excitement for the sequel to the beloved 2013 game.
