Fidough is coming to Pokémon GO, if Trainers can complete Global Challenges

If Trainers want to get Fidough, they will have to work hard to complete a series of Global Challenges.

Fidough is heading to Pokémon GO, but there is a big twist. During the Fidough Fetch event, Trainers will have to work together to earn increasingly better bonuses and unlock Fidough's debut into the game.

In addition, there are boosted shiny odds for two Pokémon and special event wild spawns. So, here is everything you need know about the Fetch Fidough event in Pokémon GO.

Fidough Fetch event challenges Pokémon GO Trainers to complete tasks

The Fidough Fetch event will bring Global Challenges back to Pokémon GO for the first time since Pokémon GO Fest 2024. There will be a series of different rewards unlocked as Trainers make more and more progress.

All of these challenges requires Trainers to make Nice Curveball Throws. Once a challenge is completed, the bonus activates, and the next challenge starts. The event runs from Friday, January 3, at 3:00 p.m. to Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. PST.

Because this is a Global Challenge event, it starts and ends at the same time all over the world. Make sure you make a note of when this is in your local timezone.

Here are all the bonuses that can be unlocked.

Level 1 Rewards
2× XP for catching Pokémon
Level 2 Rewards
2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
An additional event-themed Field Research task will be available
The Puppy Pokémon Fidough and its Evolution, Dachsbun, will make their Pokémon GO debuts
Level 3 Rewards
2.5× XP for catching Pokémon
Additional event-themed Field Research tasks will be available
Additional Pokémon will appear in the wild
Level 4 Rewards
2.5× Stardust for catching Pokémon
Level 5 Rewards
3× XP for catching Pokémon
3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
Level 6 Rewards
4× XP for catching Pokémon
4× Stardust for catching Pokémon

Event Wild Encounters

The following Pokémon will spawn in the wild during this event:

  • Growlithe
  • Voltorb
  • Snubbull
  • Poochyena
  • Electrike
  • Lillipup

Additionally, the odds of finding shiny Voltorb or Electrike are increased during this event.
