Better start stretching — there’s a lot of walking ahead this November!
Pokémon GO announced earlier this October that the Wild Area Global 2025 is set for Nov. 15 to Nov. 16, alongside the highly anticipated debut of Gigantamax Grimmsnarl.
As a two-day event, Wild Area Global 2025 is quite comparable to other big events this year, such as the Go Fest 2025: Global and the Go Fest 2025: Max Finale. Apart from the chances to capture a strong Dark/Fairy Gigantamax Pokémon, participants can also roam around to encounter rare spawns and join event-exclusive raids.
Other than being the tallest and most ripped Fairy type in the franchise, there’s a good chance that Gigantamax Grimmsnarl will also become a reliable Fairy-type attacker for Max Battles, especially against those tough Psychic and Ghost types.

How to get Gigantamax Grimmsnarl in Pokémon GO
You can encounter and catch a Gigantamax Grimmsnarl by joining a Six-Star Max Battle during the Wild Area Global 2025. This means that throughout the event, you can find multiple Power Spots where you and other Pokémon GO players can fight Gigantamax Grimmsnarl.
Gigantamax Grimmsnarl has a cool-looking Shiny variant, which can be encountered in Max Battles as well. Try to join as many Max Battles as you can!
What else to expect from Wild Area Global 2025
Between Nov. 15 and Nov. 16, the following bonuses will become active between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time:
- The limit for Remote Raids will be lifted. You can join as many Remote Raids as you can!
- You can use a Charged TM on a Shadow Pokémon to replace its Charged Attack Frustration with a better move.
- Spinning Gym Photo Discs can reward you with three free Raid Passes instead of one.
- You can collect as many as 1,600 Max Particles per day.
- Taking three snapshots can trigger an event-exclusive Pokémon spawn.
- Following Routes can spawn more Pokémon and earn additional Candy for Buddy Pokémon.
Wild Area Global 2025 spawns
This event will make all the spawns appear in one of the two themed hours: Lurking Dark Hour and Fanciful Fairy Hour. As their names imply, Pokémon that spawn during the Lurking Dark Hour will mostly be Dark types, while the Fanciful Fairy Hour will mostly feature Fairy types.
These two themed hours will alternate, starting with the Lurking Dark Hour, followed by the Fanciful Fairy Hour.

Mighty Pokémon Spawns
It’s also worth noting that for the first time in Pokémon GO, players can capture Shiny variants of Unown W (obtainable via Incense only), Hatenna, and Impidimp.
Additionally, like the Wild Area 2024 event, everyone can encounter Mighty Pokémon; Pokémon that can have higher stats and size than their regular variants, making them much harder to capture.
Safari Balls are the best Poké Ball type to use against these Mighty Pokémon, so don’t hesitate to use them in case of an encounter.

Keep an eye out for these Pokémon, especially on Sunday, as a Mighty Gardevoir or Garchomp might spawn near you. All Mighty Pokémon have a chance to become Shiny, so don’t miss any chance to take them on.
