Clear your calendars, Max Monday’s are here.

A brand new weekly event is coming to Pokémon GO. Called Max Mondays, this new feature on the Pokémon GO calendar will see a particular Pokémon featured across all Power Spots, allowing Trainers to grab as many Dynamax Pokémon as possible to add to their collections.

Max Mondays will start on November 11, and like other weekly events, will run from 6-7pm local time.

Here's what to expect from the first few weeks of Max Mondays.

Pokémon GO Max Monday's schedule

As part of their announcement today, Niantic have unveiled the first few Dynamax Pokémon to be featured in a Max Monday. Here is the schedule:

  • November 11: Dynamax Charmander
  • November 18: Dynamax Drilbur
  • November 25: Dynamax Bulbasaur
  • December 2: Dynamax Squirtle

Dynamax Drilbur has not yet been released into Pokémon GO. That means that unless we see this Pokémon come to Max Battles before November 18, this will be the official debut of Dynamax Drilbur into the game.

All of these Max Battles will be One Star. That means you should be able to take on these solo, which will be a great boost to rural players. The upcoming Gigantamax Battles could need 20 Trainers minimum, which is proving frustrating to some.

How will Max Mondays work in Pokémon GO?

Max Mondays will essentially be the same as Raid Hours, that we see every Wednesday. Every Power Spot will have the same Dynamax Pokémon on them. This lets you go around your local area and take on as many Dynamax Max Battles as you can in that hour.

There will not be any other bonuses for these Max Mondays. However, any bonuses in play for any coinciding events will apply to Max Mondays. In order to take full advantage of Max Mondays in Pokémon GO, you'll need to plan ahead. You can only collect 800 Max Particles per day. Each Max Battle costs 250 MP (when they are One Star). So, if you save up all your Max Particles on Sunday, you could do 5-6 Max Battles during a Max Monday without spending money on Particle Packs.
