The general reputation of North America as a Rainbow Six Siege esports region has changed drastically. From being chronically third on the global scene, NA suddenly became the home of the Major winners.
M80 shone brilliantly in Munich! They defeated big favorites and claimed the trophy. Their next step should be Six Invitational, but before this R6 World Championship, M80 aimed to take the #1 spot at the North America League (NAL) Regional Finals 2025.
After the initial stages, only two teams could stop the Munich Major winners — and they did it! Spacestation Gaming battled M8 in the upper final. Shopify Rebellion waited for their chance in the lower final.
NAL Regional Finals happened on the weekend from Dec. 13 to Dec. 14.

- Spacestation Gaming recovered after losing Map 1, and they even hit M80 with a 7:2 on Nighthaven Labs. SSG won this match and advanced to the grand final

- The start was promising for M80, but Shopify Rebellion fought much better on Map 3. On Chalet, SR sealed their success and eliminated M80 from R6 NAL Regional Finals 2025.

Regional competition and the spike of international success
After the R6 Munich Major 2025, all eyes are on M80 — within the NAL Regional Finals 2025 and in the big image of Six Invitational 2026.
- To reach the upper final, M80 defeated Oxygen Gaming. It was a tough match, and OXG even had a 7:2 win on Map 2, Kafe.
M80 players are used to tough competition, though. To win the Major, they recovered from losing to FaZe and falling to the lower brackets. The wins for M80 back then were against Secret and Falcons from the Europe MENA League, against Wildcard from their home region, and against FaZe — yes, that sweet revenge on the South America League.
Regional contenders
The international success of M80 is still rather an unusual spike. Other R6 esports teams at the top of the NAL Regional Finals 2025 did not make it to the Major's Playoffs.
- Spacestation Gaming defeated Shopify Rebellion in the regional semifinal. They started with a 7:1 on Clubhouse and had a much tougher battle on Nighthaven Labs, 8:7.
In Munich, Spacestation Gaming lost three matches of the Swiss stage and were eliminated.
Shopify Rebellion started the R6 NAL Regional Finals 2025 with a loss, but they survived two elimination matches to reach the lower final.
- After losing to SSG, Shopify Rebellion defeated DarkZero and Oxygen Gaming. They had a 7:1 win over OXG on the decisive map, Kafe.
The Rainbow Six Siege X Munich Major 2025 brought Shopify Rebellion one win only — but it was over FURIA, the winners of RE:LO:AD 2025.
Winning R6 Regional Finals 2025 also means securing a guaranteed spot at the upcoming Six Invitational 2026. The best teams from all the competitive regions clash at the World Championship from Feb. 2 to Feb. 15.
