Some of the biggest and strongest Rainbow Six Siege esports teams in the world reached the final brackets. However, the underdog power was real in the Swiss Stage, and it can treat us to extreme surprises.

The Playoffs at R6 Munich Major 2025 start on Nov. 12. This tournament stage features double-elimination brackets for the top 8 teams. The Major champions will be crowned on Nov. 16 in an epic grand final.

To get to this point, the teams had to make it through the rough Swiss Stage, which took out some of the favorites. Now, the Rainbow Six Siege X Major 2025 in Munich becomes an even more intense competitive experience. Most participants have only one loss as a space for misstep, while two teams can’t enjoy this luxury.

R6 Munich Major 2025 completes the first-ever open series within the revamped Siege X game. Everything about the Playoffs Stage at this Rainbow Six esports event is here!

Losers Round 1

  • FURIA lost their lower-bracket match to Secret and were eliminated from the Munich Major. It promised to be an epic battle, but Secret beat the competitive spirit out of their opponents. In general, it was a pretty difficult tournament for FURIA.

  • Another shock is the loss of NiP. They fell victims of Wildcard, a NA team — from a disaster on Clubhouse to close but still unsuccessful battle on Skyscraper. The proud of South American R6 esports lies on the shoulders of FaZe Clan.

Lower quarterfinals

  • Miracles of M80 continued, as they eliminated Secret. The teams exchanged dominating rounds, and Secret repeat their Map 1 success.

  • Wildcard brilliantly recovered from a 2:7 on Nighthaven and a rather big mid-game disadvantage on Kafe. They won Map 2 and then pushed Skyscraper to the overtime limits — to win this lower quarterfinal and eliminate Team Secret from R6 Munich Major 2025. With this win, two North American teams are in the top 4!

Upper final

  • Team Falcons dominated Map 1 and Map 3 in the Munich Major grand final. FaZe Clan managed to make the match competitive on Lair, but that wasn't enough to avoid falling into the lower brackets.

Lower semifinal

  • Two North American teams clashed for one place in the lower final — and M80 took it. Wildcard ought well, and being in the top 4 is a pretty good result for this team.

Lower final

  • M80 eliminated the last Brazilian team from R6 Munich Major 2025. FaZe Clan won Map 1 but couldn't repeat this success. M80 advance to the grand final to battle against Team Falcons!

Clash of the regions

Only three Rainbow Six Siege esports regions made it to the Playoffs. Asia Pacific teams fail in the Swiss Stage, even if they had good results against the favorites. For example, Dplus defeated FURIA in Round 1, and Weibo won over NiP in Round 2.

North America

Two teams from the North America League (NAL) Stage 2 qualified for the final brackets in Munich.

  • M80 are the biggest discovery of this tournament. They advanced after only three rounds, defeating G2, Faze, and Spirit.

  • Wildcard lost Round 1 to Secret, but then, they defeated three other opponents. In a way, the team was lucky with these matchups: Spacestation and ENTERPRISE Esports. Wildcard also won over w7m esports, but these opponents are struggling with their performance.

Europe & MENA

As an R6 esports region, the Europe & MENA League (EML) is on the rise at the moment. Three teams are in the Playoffs.

  • Team Falcons won over ENTERPRISE Esports, Dplus, and w7m esports to qualify after the first three rounds in the Swiss Stage.

  • G2 Esports took the full run in the Swiss Stage: after losing best-of-one (Bo1) matches to M80 and Team BDS. G2 still won over CAG Osaka, Dplus, and w7m esports.

South America

Brazil is now part of the South America League (SAL), which boosts the power of this esports region extremely. Still, two big teams had a rollercoaster of experience in the Munich Major 2025 Swiss Stage. w7m esports, the winners of three Majors and Six Invitational 2024, could not make it.

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas started the tournament with losses to w7m esports and Weibo Gaming. NiP survived three elimination matches, defeating Spacestation, Shopify Rebellion, and Team BDS.

State of the game

In the middle of the competitive excitement during the Munich Major Swiss Stage, some pro players expressed their concerns about the game’s state. Specifically, William "Spoit" Löfstedt shared a Save Siege document via his X account.

The game responded, without quoting the document, though.

The suggestions on saving the game initiated a discussion in the community. It is really interesting to watch the promised announcements from the game’s developers.

The next big offline tournament for Rainbow 6 Siege is Six Invitational 2025, from Feb. 2 to Feb. 15. The Munich Major winners earn a direct invite to this event.
