Keeping in line with the goal of ensuring the safety of players, fans and staff, the publisher has also taken the difficult decision to not allow a live audience at the event. This will ensure the fans can enjoy watching their favorite players compete at the highest level on streaming platforms even though they cannot attend the event itself.

Co-streaming will significantly enhance the amount of viewership for the tournament as has been proven by other game titles such as Valorant and CS: GO. Fans often watch their favorite streamers even when an event is live. By allowing streamers to stream the event live on their channels is a great way to get more Rainbow Six fans interested in R6 esports.

Exploring third-party Watch parties

In addition to approving co-streaming, a move that will significantly enhance the viewing experience for R6 fans, Ubisoft is also exploring the possibility of allowing third-party hosted watch parties.

The Six Invitational 2022 features 20 teams from around the world competing in Sweden. The tournament is hosted by ESL and Ubisoft and is the culmination of the Rainbow Six esports year.
