How to participate in CRL Spring 2025

College teams from North America are eligible for this official Rocket League esports series.

Format

The Open Tournaments of CRL Spring 2025 go on for two days. 

  • On Day 1, the participating teams compete in four pools. The top 2 teams from each pool advance to the playoff matches.
  • On Day 2, the top 8 teams from pools play in the final brackets.

The main goal of this stage is to earn CRL points. The top 16 teams in each Open Tournament get them — sure, high placements are more valuable (especially the tournament wins). After these qualifiers, the eighth teams with the most CRL points advance to the Spring Championship 2025.

The final event also features two days of the Rocket League esports competition. This time, the brackets are under the single-elimination best-of-seven format.

  • Day 1: Up to semis.
  • Day 2: The top 4 teams play in the semi-finals and the grand final.

The Scholastic Prizing for Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2025 is $50,000.

The official Rocket League channels stream CRL Spring 2025. 

All the streams start at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET. The Open Tournaments have only Day 2 matches featured on the stream.

What about the previous season of Collegiate Rocket League esports? The Concord University team won CRL Fall 2024. In the grand final, they defeated Northwood University Blue.
