Split 1 of the official esports Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) starts with a series of open qualification tournaments in different regions. The European matches are among the most interesting during RLCS 2025 Open 1. Traditionally, the region is very strong. Also, some big teams changed their rosters significantly, so the scene is different now.

Where to watch RLCS 2025 EU Open 1?
Format and schedule of the Rocket League esports EU Open Qualifier 1
There were two initial stages of RLCS 2025 EU Open 1 before the final brackets of this tournament. Through the double elimination stage, the top 32 teams were decided. They battled in two Swiss groups, and only 16 of them proceeded to the final stages.
- Group Stage: Jan. 10. Two GSL groups have eight teams in each. The top 4 teams from each group advance further.
- Playoffs: from Jan. 11 to Jan. 12. It’s the top 8 AFL brackets. The top 4 teams get direct invitations to the Swiss stage of RLCS 2025 EU Open 2.
All 16 teams in the final part earn RLCS Points to try and eventually qualify for the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major.
