Long-time Twitch streamer Myth has left the platform to join YouTube Gaming, stating, “This was my decision.”

Ali "Myth" Kabbani — formerly of TSM FTX — has officially left Twitch for YouTube, the content creator announced today. Myth rose to prominence during the early days of Fortnite Battle Royale's unexpected popularity. Furthermore, he joined the likes of Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and Turner "Tfue" Tenney as the true pioneers in the Fortnite scene.

Now, Myth has added himself to a growing list of creators to become exclusive to the YouTube platform. He leaves behind a legacy on Twitch that included more than seven million followers and over five years of entertainment and iconic moments.

Myth switches streaming platforms

The 23-year-old took to Twitter with an announcement just one day following a tease. However, few knew what to expect, given Myth's exit from TSM last year. Ultimately, it was a platform switch from Twitch to Youtube for Myth and not a new esports organization.

The video above provides context as to Myth's decisions up to this point. Moreover, the popular content creator explained that a move to YouTube was his decision:

"All my life, decisions have made me who I am. I could have kept grinding Fortnite, sweating day in and day out, trying to be the best of the best. I could've given up when I was uncertain of my future as a streamer even after years of hard work. Or, I could have never started at all. I could have never taken the risk on the one thing I felt like I was meant to do. Decisions have made me who I am, and this is my decision."

Myth joins fellow former Twitch turned YouTube streamers, such as Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar and Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop. Both content creators switched and found success on the YouTube Gaming platform. Furthermore, another recognizable name — LilyPichu — recently left Twitch in favor of a YouTube deal.

Twitch bids farewell, creators congratulate Myth on the move

Twitch wished nothing but success and love following his decision. "Here's wishing you nothing but lots of mythLove and continued success on the next chapter of your quest," Twitch's Twitter account wrote. Additionally, former Twitch and current YouTube creators CouRageJD and TimTheTatman welcomed Myth.

Myth's first stream under YouTube Gaming is set to occur tomorrow, July 12. We can expect more insight into his decision during the inaugural broadcast on a new platform. Until then, Twitch has lost Myth, another valuable content creator, to the rival YouTube Gaming. There's no guessing who could be the next recognizable name to leave Twitch.
