The real reason behind Adin Ross’ ban has been revealed

Adin Ross has been permanently banned from Twitch and fans have been wondering why. The real reason has been possibly revealed.

Adin Ross was permanently banned from Twitch yesterday and his fans were left speculating why. Was it the Matrix? Now, sources have revealed the allegedly real reason behind Twitch's dramatic decision.

Ross has become a controversial streamer over the last year for trying to interview Kanye West and then becoming very close to former podcaster Andrew Tate, who is currently in jail while Romanian authorities investigate his connection to a human trafficking ring. Ross has come under fire for emulating Tate, not just shaving his head to match physically but sharing his harmful rhetoric to his young fanbase.

Ross told his fans last month that Twitch was attempting to "silence" him over this new content, leaving his following suspicious of the streaming platform. After the alleged warning from Twitch, Ross decided to stream on Kick, where he ended up broadcasting the (copyrighted) Super Bowl and then porn. The erratic career choices and sexist statements left Ross' brother shocked and frustrated but fans stood up for him, stating that Ross was just forging his own path and were mad Twitch got in the way.

So why did Ross actually get banned from Twitch? Was it his newfound love of Andrew Tate? The porn?

Why was Adin Ross permanently banned from Twitch

A Twitch spokesperson has allegedly told Dexerto the actual reason behind the permanent ban. And it's not the porn after all.

According to a report from Dexerto, Ross was banned after showing "unmoderated hateful conduct" in chat. The spokesperson explained that he was showing racist and antisemitic messages, which are "not allowed on Twitch."

Ross was basically streaming on Twitch when he decided to show his Kick chat for 20 minutes. During that time, there was no moderation and the offensive comments were rolling in.

Read the guidelines: “Twitch does not permit behavior that is motivated by hatred, prejudice or intolerance, including behavior that promotes or encourages discrimination, denigration, harassment, or violence based on the following protected characteristics: race, ethnicity, color, caste, national origin, immigration status, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious medical condition, and veteran status.”

This might not seem like something worthy of a permanent ban, but this was actually Ross' eighth ban. Once a streamer has reached a high number of bans, breaking the guidelines can lead to a permanent punishment.

Ross has not expressed any regret for his ongoing behavior and has found a new home on Kick for now.
