Street Fighter 6 Terry Bogard is playable at Gamescom 2024

He is more than just the next SF6 DLC character! For the first time ever, the game features someone from a different fighting series. Street Fighter 6 Terry Bogard is an epic addition to the roster, and everyone at Gamescom 2024 will be able to try him out in action.

The information about SF6 Terry Bogard being playable at the gaming event Gamescom 2024 was revealed in the official press release by Capcom. Here is what it says.

Also, Capcom has officially announced that the new Street Fighter 6 DLC character is playable at PAX West from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.

Originally, Terry Bogard is a character from the Fatal Fury fighting games series, developed by SNK. He is a protagonist, a hero who enters a fighting tournament to avenge his father. Terry is kind enough to protect the son of his enemy.

Traditionally before allowing people to play new characters, Street Fighter 6 releases special gameplay trailers for them. Not only does this attract more attention from the community, but such videos help people play the fighters for the first time. Usually, the playtime at the events is pretty limited, and you don’t want to waste it on figuring out the basics.

The gameplay trailer for Terry Bogard was released right before Gamescom 2024, during the Opening Night.

Terry looks like himself in the gameplay trailer. His Street Fighter 6 moveset is similar to the KOF XV version, including specials: ground fire and somersault kicks. It looks like SF6 Terry is great at combo play — an example is shown in the trailer.

The official release date for SF6 Terry Bogard is still unknown. The developers state that the character will be available in Autumn 2024.
