Eight players in check. One winner.
After a weekend of duking it out against Set 14's top Teamfight Tactics (TFT) competitors, summertimer became the champion of Cyber City Tactician's Crown! He not only took home the bulk of the $470,000 total prize pool, but also made history as the only player to rise to the top after a nail-biting final game.

Summertimer wins TFT Cyber City Tactician's Crown
The final lobby of Cyber City Tactician’s Crown could be described as "absolute cinema" since for the first time ever, all of the players were in check. Under the check format in TFT, players must reach at least 20 points and secure first place to win it all. This time around, every player in Game 7 already had the minimum of 20 points, turning it into an intense fight for the crown.
In the end, Japanese player summertimer from ZETA DIVISION earned a total of 32 points. He scored 8 points, the highest possible amount under the tournament’s scoring system, in Game 7 when it mattered most. It was all he needed under the check format!

Summertimer received $150,000 and cemented himself in TFT history. After putting on his crown and all the fanfare, the player went on social media to thank everyone who cheered him on. He also said that everyone's support helped him out a lot.
