Teamfight Tactics Set 8 Monsters Attack: Mid-Set Finale preview

The winner of the Teamfight Tactics Set 8 Monsters Attack! Mid-Set Finale will be granted an automatic spot to the TFT Set 8 Monsters Attack! World Championships as one of North America's four representatives. As for the tournament, it kicks off on March 3 at 1 p.m. PT on the Teamfight Tactics Twitch channel.

A total of 32 players in North America will compete in the Set 8 Mid-Set Finale over three days of competition. Here's how they were able to qualify for this event.

Over the course of the past three months, competitors all over North America participated in the Defender Cup, Corrupted Cup, and ladder play in order to qualify for this event. The top four finishers from each of the Defender Cup and Corrupted Cup events automatically qualified to the Monsters Attack! Mid-Set Finale. The remaining 24 slots were filled by players who received qualifier points from placing well at these two tournaments combined.

Three days of competition at the Monsters Attack! Mid Set-Finale will be dedicated to deciding who earns an automatic qualification to the Teamfight Tactics Monsters Attack! World Championships as one of North America's representatives.

The first two days will consist of six games. On each day, the competition will be cut in half, with top performers from the day receiving bonus points heading into the subsequent day of competition. The final day will also feature six games, with the top scorer becoming the Set 8 Monsters Attack! Mid-Set Finale winner.

Other important stakes to note for this tournament are that the top four finishers will qualify to the Monsters Attack! Regional Finals. The remaining four players in the final eight of the competition will qualify to the third day of Mecha Cup, first of two Set 8.5 tournaments before the North American Regional Finals.

Stellar Minhee is an up-and-coming talent in the North American Teamfight Tactics competitive scene. A high-challenger player starting from Set 5.5 and 6.5, Stellar Minhee really burst into the competitive scene in Set 7.

He made it to the final day of both the Astral Cup and Jade Cup as well as the second day of the Set 7 Dragonlands Mid-Set Finale. In the most recent competition, Corrupted Cup, Stellar Minhee also earned his way to the final day of competition, making it to the top 16 before being eliminated.
