Riot Games has revealed the details for the next Teamfight Tactics (TFT) update. Read on for the TFT patch 16.4 notes and details.
TFT patch 16.4 release date
According to the 2026 TFT update schedule, the release date for TFT patch 16.4 is Feb. 4.

TFT patch 16.4 notes
According to Rodger "Riot Prism" Caudill and Katie “Riot Ukime” Guo, TFT patch 16.4 adjusts econ augments that have made 3-star, 4-cost units too common. Since it's now also halfway through TFT Set 16, patches are becoming smaller and more targeted. There's a focus on preserving viable paths to a top-four finish.

Teamfight Tactics patch 16.4 notes
Here are all of the TFT patch 16.4 notes. This update features buffs to units such as Bard, Xin Zhao, Jhin, Darius, Gwen, Ambessa, Lissandra, Draven, Ornn, Sylas, T-Hex, and Tristana. Nerfs, meanwhile, go to Sona, Rift Herald, and Yunara. Riot Games is also pushing the Omnivamp fantasy for Aatrox by significantly buffing his one-star form to reward heavy Omnivamp builds. However, this also means a small nerf to two-star Aatrox as compensation. Aurelion Sol gets light buffs as well.
"While the dragon's mid-patch adjustments in 16.3 put him in a better place, players are too quickly pivoting off of Aurelion Sol's Targonian friends, and those higher breakpoints are a bit too rare," the Riot Games team explained. "We're letting him stack a bit faster at 1-star, but compensating by pushing his 2 biggest upgrades later (they should happen at similar times), and making his ultimate black hole upgrade a little easier."

TFT Revival Festival of Beasts patch notes
The Festival of Beasts Revival game mode also receives adjustments in TFT patch 16.4. Riot Games' goal is to make all compositions viable via a bunch of buffs. However, Shyvana and OIaf receive nerfs due to being power outliers.
