TFT patch 16.5 notes

TFT patch 16.5 is the halfway point of the Lore & Legends set and features many buffs following patch 16.4's changes to leveling and odds. While patch 16.4 made it easier to hit three-star, three-cost units, patch 16.5 makes them stronger. According to Katie "Riot Ukime" Guo and Rodger "Riot Prism" Caudill, these buffs also go to two-cost units to make them more competitive with four-cost and five-cost carries.

"Graves, Orianna, and Rek’Sai are all strong units that fall off once they hit three stars," they explained. "We’re giving relatively large buffs to their three-star form, but for Orianna, who is really strong at one and two-stars already, we're lowering her power until she can get to that three-star point."

Riot Ukime and Riot Prism then noted that Leona, Malzahar, and Zoe aren't worth three-starring since Malzahar players often aim for a fourth star instead. Vayne, meanwhile, struggles in the late game but receives a three-star buff to improve her viability.

In terms of Festival of Beasts Revival game mode, it's still playable until TFT patch 17.1. Until then, those duking it out in patch 16.5 can make use of the buffs to Tristana, Braum, and Kindred. They should also take note of the changes to Lulu, Azir, and Zilean.
