AirPods 4 retails starting with $129 with the ANC version coming at a slight more cost.

Apple announced the Airpods 4 during its September 9 Glowtime event amidst other announcements. The new Airpods come with improved design, a better fit and significant improvements in Audio and ANC.

What’s new in the Airpods 4?

The Airpods 4 brings a host of new improvements. With a new chip and ANC, they have significantly lower cost for ensuring better audio quality and user comfort.

Better Design

The Apple Airpods 4 comes with an open-ear design and it was developed after an analysis spanning over 50 million ear shapes. It has an ergonomic design crafted to provide a secure and comfortable fit. The comfort of the fit is an important factor that enables users to wear it for an extended period of time.

Improved Audio Performance

With the Apple H2 Chip, there’s an improved audio profile as well as call clarity for the Airpods 4. Features such as voice isolation and personalized spatial audio allow users to experience their environment seamlessly without their audio taste interrupting their profile. The Adaptive EQ tunes the music by adjusting low and mid-range frequencies based on what the user is hearing.

Active Noise Cancellation

Active Noise Cancellation is a core feature of any audio device in today’s time. The Airpods 4 comes with ANC in an open-ear design. This will cut out any noise from the outside world allowing you to focus on the audio in the Airpods 4. The advanced audio processing blocks out background noise effectively.

Airpods 4 also blends Transparency mode and ANC based on the wearer’s environment. This allows users to have a better understanding of their outdoor environment and surroundings allowing for a seamless listening experience.

A key feature of the AirPods 4 is that it lowers volumes when it detects you are speaking with someone else. This enables you to have seamless conversations without the need to physically stop music by moving your hands. This feature is available with some other phone makers, but this is the first time Apple has brought it to iPhones.

Battery Life

There’s improved battery life as it can now provide up to 5 hours of listening time on a single charge. Coupled with the charging case, it can extend up to 30 hours of listening time.

The new AirPods comes with USB-C charging, which means it is compatible with a host of charging options including the Apple Watch charger as well as other Wireless chargers. USB-C charging brings it on par with the latest improvements in technology and will allow them to be charged using almost any charger.

How much does the Airpods 4 Cost?

The price cost starts at $129 for the base version. The AirPods 4 ANC starts at $179, but is a significant uptick in terms of the audio profile it offers to users. Apple's new AirPods launch on September 20 along with the new line of iPhones.
