With Grade 5 Titanium in use, it is also much lighter than its predecessor.

Apple just announced its brand new Watch series at the 2024 Glowtime event - Apple Watch Series 10. The new watch features a bigger screen, a thinner display, and sleep apnea detection. Here’s everything new in the Apple Watch Series 10.

Apple Watch Series 10: What’s new?

Apple released its first Smartwatch nearly ten years ago and this year’s smartwatch has a greater focus on outdoor activities. It also has updated speakers allowing the wearer to play music and podcasts on the Apple Watch without the need for an Airpod. The overall design remains largely similar to the previous version of the watch but there are small refinements. The Series 10 is 10% thinner than the Series 9. It also charges much faster - boasting a 80% battery life charge in just 30 minutes.

Apple Watch Series 10 has a sleep apnea detector although it hasn’t received FDA approval for the feature just yet. Apple says the feature is ‘medical grade’ and uses the watch’s accelerometer to detect irregular sleep patterns.

The Series 10 Watch is powered by a new S10 Chip which allows neural processing to translate to the device. The Series 10 contains the Titanium version ensuring a significant weight reduction. It comes in three different colors: Jet Black, Warm Rose Gold and Silver Aluminum.

What is the price of the Series 10?

The Apple Series 10 Watch will start retailing from $399. The GPS version retails for $399 while the GPS + Cellular version goes for $499 onwards.

When does Apple Watch release?

Pre-orders for the Series 10 will begin on September 28.

The 2024 watch comes in 45mm and 49mm options, a 4mm upgrade from the 41mm and 45mm models of Series 9. The smartwatch also comes with a metal back for durability and water resistance. With faster charging, the Apple Watch Series 10 solves one of the biggest problems of previous editions.
