Is Twitter down? X faces major outage

Folks who are trying to use Twitter/X are currently experiencing some issues. Is Twitter/X down? Here is what’s happening with the outage.

Yes, at the time of publishing this article, there is a Twitter/X outage for some users. According to the Downdetector website, which tracks real-time issues with services and websites, outage reports spiked at around 3 a.m. PT. Then, more reports came in at around 7 a.m. PT.

The majority of Downdetector visitors noted issues with the app. Meanwhile, some folks also noted website troubles and server connection problems. These percentages may change as more people share their experiences or once the platform's issues get fixed.

Some users on Reddit posted about the outage as well. "Twitter is down for me. Same for everyone else?" one user asked. Other users also made similar posts prior to that one.

"My page refuses to load anything past February 9th of this year," another user wrote at around Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. PT — ahead of the majority of reports on Downdetector. "Is there any way to fix this? I've tried refreshing and clearing cache and nothing has worked. It's not an internet problem, either."

It’s unknown when the app and website will be fully up and running again. However, users continue to report ongoing issues across the app, website, and server connections.
