The Tekken 8 Demo is here! Check out when it releases and how to download your latest teaser of the Tekken franchise.
Tekken 8’s release is just on the horizon, but until then you can get a taste of the action with the new Tekken 8 Demo. With details unveiled on Dec. 12 on social media, the Tekken 8 Demo will release on PlayStation 5 on Dec. 14, and on Xbox and PC on Steam on Dec. 21
Tekken 8’s official release date is on Jan. 26, 2024, so the Demo is releasing around a month a a handful of days ahead of the game. It’s unknown what the Demo will feature, but we assume something similar to the Closed Beta Tests, which featured limited online battles, versus, and training modes. There will also likely be a smaller character pool.
The full version of Tekken 8 will reportedly feature 32 characters on release, but only 28 have currently been revealed. In the Beta version, there were just 19 characters. It’s speculated this demo will similarly feature that limited roster. The Beta version also only featured one of the new fighters, Azucena.
Tekken 8 is the latest game in the Tekken franchise, and will release almost 30 years since the original hit the arcades in 1994.

How to Download the Tekken 8 Demo
To download the Demo, you’ll need to navigate to the shop in your respective platform. For PlayStation 5, head to the PlayStation Store and search for “Tekken 8 Demo.” For Xbox you’ll need to do the same on the Microsoft Store. For Steam, navigate to the Tekken 8 Steam Page and click the “Download Tekken 8 Demo” button.
