Alliance Coven announces two new players on all female VALORANT roster

Alliance’s all female VALORANT division adds two new players to the roster.

Esports organization Alliance announced earlier this year their all-female roster for their VALORANT team and today, they have provided the names of two new players.

The team, known as Alliance.Coven, began their search for new players after releasing Jade "Jade" Duffy, Lada “h6tedthemost” Kozhemyakina and coach Aymeric “Izzy” Ast in the beginning of March. According to Alliance, those changes were made due to adjustments "regarding the overall teams playstyle and strategy."

At the time, Alliance's Chief Strategy Officer Kelly Ong released this statement:

"It is always hard to say goodbye to any Alliance members. Coven is still a young team and sometimes changes are needed. Coming into Coven, especially with previous competing experience together already, when the group cannot agree on playstyles, it is often better to part ways now mutually on good terms. I wish Jade, htm, and Izzy all the best in their new teams, we had a really good run together as a team, great memories and experiences shared. Alliance will work hard on finalizing our remaining roster before the next official Game Changers later in April. #LongLiveAlliance."

And after a nearly month long search and an open signup, it seems that Alliance.Coven have finally found the players they need.

The first addition is Maria "6sonya" Istrate, a Romanian player who has been active since 2020 and has previously captained the British team Rix.GG Lightning. Finding success by gaining three victories during the women-only tournament Girls' House - EU Open, this is a big pickup due to her ability to gain such incredible accomplishments in such a short amount of time.

Weronika "Speedwk" Dąbrowska from Poland has a more collegiate background, having played for university teams such as the Portsmouth Paladins and the Portsmouth Plonkers. She has been active in the scene since VALORANT's release in 2020 and has impressed Ong, who made the following statement:

"Welcome our 2 new players to Alliance Coven. As we continue investing into VALORANT as one of Alliance's flagship esports titles, we look forward to achieving not only results, but representation that girls and women can work towards competing at the highest level of esports."

Alliance Coven roster:

  • Dana "Danah" Al-Madhoun
  • Julie "Pinkalie" Lim
  • Maria "6sonya" Istrate
  • Laure "Xaline" Mateos
  • Weronika "speedowka" Dąbrowska

Coach Daniel Cama "Yugami" Hidalgo from Spain has also been the added to the roster. The new roster now consists of the two above additions, Dana "Danah" Almadhoun, Laure "Xaline" Mateos, and Julie "Pinkalie" Lim.

Alliance has been a well-known esports organization since 2013. It boasts top-tier talent across various esports from Dota 2, Smash, and now VALORANT, having already a lineup that competes in VCT. This is just another step for them in sealing their continued commitment to VALORANT esports.
