Wippie parts ways with Cloud9 after about six months together.
North American esports organization, Cloud9 has announced a VALORANT roster change very early into the new season. After just three matches together, they have announced the parting of ways with Maxim "wippie" Shepelev. The player is now a free agent and meanwhile, Cloud9 will soon announce a new addition.
Free agent starting today. My time with C9 did not go as planned but I am thankful to them, my teammates and the fans for the opportunity and support. I want to get back to playing as soon as possible. Looking at all offers and I am open to change region if needed.
Cloud9 parts ways with Wippie
Wippie joined Cloud9 in September last year as the org looked to revamp its roster to achieve better results. In 2024, the team has played just three VCT Matches in the North American Kickoff event. They lost two and won one, unfortunately, the result was not enough for them to qualify for Masters Madrid.
Cloud9 also took part in the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational 2, a VALORANT OFF-SEASON event in January this year. The team finished third in the four-team event losing to Moist x Shopify and Oxygen esports.
Wippie parts ways with the team just six months after joining the NA based esports organization. For now, he remains a free agent and is on the lookout for a new org to represent in VCT.
