NRG’s VALORANT team has a new sixth player. Alan “ethos’ Ruan” will only play if any of the main five players are unavailable.
NRG, one of the 10 partnered organizations in VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Americas, added one of their content creators, Alan "ethos" Ruan, as the sixth member of its VALORANT roster. This was first seen on the Global Contract Database.
NRG previously had Zander "thwifo" Kim as the sixth member, who also travelled with the team to VCT LOCK//IN in Brazil. However, he and NRG parted ways on March 13. According to the Global Contract Database for VCT-partnered teams, ethos became thwifo's replacement.
Ethos joins NRG VCT roster as sixth player
Ethos has been a part of NRG since Feb. 24, 2021 as a content creator. He also has some professional experience and played with a team called "Skwirel Warriers." The roster made it to the top 32 of the North Americans Challenger league, but it got eliminated eventually.
Ethos, while not on the main roster, will step in if any of the five players on NRG's main roster are unable to play. He is immensely popular as a content creator under NRG and has over half a million followers on Twitch. He has nine million views on his channel and 3.89 hours watched by his audience, according to Twitch Tracker.
