Team SMG has signed enerii to their VALORANT Game Changers roster ahead of VCT GC APAC Open 2. She will be replacing Tara.

Team SMG, the winners of VCT Game Changers APAC Open One recently bolstered their roster with the addition of Odella "enerii" Abraham. She isn't just any player though: enerii is widely considered to be the best Game Changers player in APAC region.

Enerii was a part of Alter Ego Celeste during the 2021 and 2022 Game Changer events in APAC. They won every single official VCT Game Changers event they took part in up until VCT Game Changers Elite 2022. At Elite, where the winner of the event qualified for the first ever international Game Changers LAN in Berlin, Alter Ego lost to X10 Esports in the grand finals after a close series. Despite the loss, enerii is still widely considered to be the best player in the circuit.

New beginnings for enerii in Team SMG

After that, Alter Ego Celeste released all of their players except enerii and they were signed by RRQ under the banner RRQ Kaguya. However, enerii was still under contract and she wasn't released until several months after. As a result of this, she was missing in action during VCT Game Changers APAC Open 1 in 2023. Now though, she is joining the already star-studded SMG roster.

She will be taking the spot of Ryona "Tara" Tan, who will no longer be an active player on the roster. Team SMG was already a force to be reckoned with, winning Open 1 2023 flawlessly without dropping a single match or map. They went on to win 23 maps in a row to be crowned the champions of the event.

Now with enerii on the roster, they are arguably the favorite in the region to qualify for the international Game Changers Championship scheduled to be held in São Paulo this year. In enerii's own words, she's hoping for her international debut this year and believes her team will make it to Worlds.

Team SMG is now:

  • Odella "enerii" Abraham
  • Abigail "Kohaibi" Kong
  • Alexandria "Alexy" Francisco
  • Kelly "Shirazi" Jaudian
  • Camille "Kamiyu" Enriquez
  • Alex "falfalfal" Cheang (Coach)
