What is all the hype around Mega Shards in Pokémon Legends: Z-A? And where do you find these new pink rocks?
One of Pokémon Legends: Z-A's biggest features is Mega Shards. This new addition to the game goes hand-in-hand with the Kalos region's Mega Evolution studies. So, what exactly are Mega Shards in Pokémon Legends: Z-A? And where can players find them?
What are Mega Shards in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Mega Shards are a new, unique form of currency in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. These pink shards can be used to purchase different Mega Stones and even Exp. Gain. However, quite a few Mega Stones required a lot of Mega Shards to purchase them. This means you will need to do a bit of collecting before purchasing a new Mega Stone.

However, the good news is that Mega Shards are not scarce in Lumiose City and are constantly respawning every time you leave an area. So, where do you find Mega Shards in the new Legends game?
Where to find Mega Shards
Finding Mega Shards is incredibly easy in Lumiose City. The rocks that contain them are scattered all across Lumiose City. They look like black rocks growing pink shards. While the game makes you think the only way to break these rocks is using Rock Smash, you can actually use any attacking move, and it'll break up the shards.

Then, you will be awarded with Mega Shards. You usually only get one to a few per each rock you destroy, so you will need to destroy quite a bit to be able to collect enough Mega Shards that you can purchase a Mega Stone.
Mega Shards are incredibly valuable in the game's economy and can really help strengthen your team, especially when you have multiple Pokémon that can Mega Evolve. Make sure you take some time out of your day to get mining for Mega Shards.
