XDefiant Season 1 announced: New faction, new maps, new mode, and more

At the Ubisoft's Forward showcase, XDefiant announced its upcoming Season 1, its release date, and all the exciting new content that will come along. Read ahead!

XDefiant will launch its Season 1 on July 2.

We'll have about three weeks before Season 1 arrives with plenty of new in-game content. Some of these are even game-shifting additions. We'll get the full preview of XDefiant Season 1 on July 1, a day before the launch.

XDefiant will add a new faction in the game called GSK. This faction will join the other five existing ones - the Libertad, Phantoms, Echelon, Cleaners, and DeadSec.

More maps will also arrive in Season 1! XDefiant will release a total of three maps with one release per month. Check out all the new maps in XDefiant below.

We'll also see the famous Capture the Flag game mode enter the fray. This is the sixth game mode added to the game. The existing game modes are Domination, Occupy, HotShot, Escort, and Zone Control.

On top of all the exciting additions, a new and revamped rank progression will enter the game. These are only the biggest teases from the trailer, but more content awaits in Season 1.
