The Halloween spirit completely took over DreamHack Atlanta 2025, and fans delivered some of the coolest, spookiest cosplays around.
DreamHack Atlanta 2025 embraced the Halloween spirit with style and a wide array of impressive costumes. On the spooky day of Oct. 31, attendees dressed up as some of the most unique and creative characters imaginable. Let’s take a look at esports.gg's top Halloween costumes from the DreamHack Atlanta 2025 event!
The winners of the DreamHack Halloween Costume Contest
DreamHack's Halloween event showcased its spookiest, silliest, and nerdiest cosplayers on the Main Stage, with celebrity judges including former professional basketball player Dwight Howard, streamer ExtraEmily, and VTuber Takanashi Kiara.
The Scariest Costume winner, “Intestines on a Plate,” turned heads with its gory, old-school Halloween horror, equal parts creepy and cool. He won the contest and took home a $7,500 prize. You can find the whole contest, alongside the GeoGuessr Halloween Showdown here.
The Funniest Costume
You might be too young for this one, but this is Chibi-Robo. Back in 2005, Nintendo published the Chibi-Robo! game, which was all about this little metallic robot that was meant to spread happiness and assist humans, animals, aliens, and even living toys. The franchise had some releases over the years, the last being Chibi-Robo! in 2015. Zip Lash to Nintendo 3DS.
At the DreamHack Atlanta event, the judges awarded the Chibi-Robo! costume the title of "Funniest Costume," and it won a prize of $2,500.
The Judge's Surprise and Cutest Couple
For the judges, the cutest couple of the contest was The Flintstones, inspired by the beloved 1960s animated sitcom. The show follows the lives of Fred and Wilma Flintstone, their pet dinosaur Dino, and their mischievous cat Baby Puss. Later in the series, the couple welcomes their daughter, Pebbles.
With an adorable entrance in the DreamHack contest, this sweet couple stole the judge's hearts and took home the "Cutest Couple" award, alongside a $2,500 prize.
Lady Alcina Dimitrescu
If you are a big horror games fan, you have probably already recognized Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, one of the best female villains in the gaming industry. For more than sixty years, Dimitrescu was feared by the locals over allegations of mass murder and cannibalism, which were later found to be true.
As a big horror fan, this cosplay really stood out to me because of the incredible detail. The long white dress with the straight neckline is just like Lady Alcina's. And the claws? They are just incredible. The jewelry, the hat, every detail is on point, perfectly capturing the elegance, poise, and power of this iconic Resident Evil Village character.
Corpse Bride
This adorable costume arrived just in time, as Corpse Bride celebrated its 20th anniversary last month. The attention to detail in the Emily cosplay was incredible, especially the delicate flower crown and the white-and-blue corset, which looked absolutely charming. The makeup was on point.
As for Victor Van Dort, his look was simple, but beautiful. While a bit more detail on the suit would’ve elevated it, the layered combination of the white shirt, gray vest, and tie fit the character perfectly.
Five Nights at Freddy's
There is not a gamer on this planet who does not know the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. You might not have played the game, but you definitely recognize its iconic characters. Freddy, the star of the series, was brought to life brilliantly in this cosplay. The suit perfectly mirrored the original design. I wished the cosplay had a little bit more machinery, robotic characteristics, since Freddy is an animatronic.
Blade
The aura, the entrance, the posture, everything was on point in this Blade cosplay. For those less familiar with the Marvel universe, Blade is an antihero who has dedicated his life to eradicating vampires, using his unique half-vampire physiology to become the ultimate vampire hunter. DreamHack Atlanta 2025 truly popped off with its cosplay contest, because every participant absolutely nailed their look.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Finally, this Avatar cosplay in a group was great not only because of the details, but also due to their entrance and small performance that led to this incredible picture. It was a very wholesome moment to add to the DreamHack Atlanta Costume Carnival event and to end the Halloween celebration.
That's all for now. Stick around for more Gaming news, guides, and updates on esports.gg.
