VCT EMEA Playoffs Teams locked in

After a thrilling few weeks of group-stage play during the VCT EMEA, we now have the teams for the playoffs. Six teams have made it through the group stage and will compete for a chance to qualify for the Shanghai Masters later this year. Here’s what we know about the qualified teams and their journey so far. 

The following teams have made it through to the playoffs at VCT EMEA Stage 1:

Karmine Corp and FUT esports will advance directly to the upper bracket semifinals. Their top placement during the group stage ensures that they are one step closer to the Grand Final.

Karmine Corp topped Group Alphawith a 3-3 score. The team had victories over KOIm Gentle Mates as well as GIANTX. They had 1-2 losses against Natus Vincere, Heretics as well as FUT. However, their superior round difference in their victories ensured they secured the top spot in the group stage.

The other Upper Bracket semifinal team - FUT esports - had a much better performance. In general, Group Omega teams seemed to fare better than Group Alpha. FUT esports had a +39 Round difference with NAVI close behind at +31. FUT had victories over all teams except Team Vitality. The team’s 4-1 score and the superior game victory numbers meant they went directly to the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

The other teams in the playoffs will compete in the Knockout round, where the losing team is out of the tournament. There’s a lot at stake for the participating teams as the top three teams in this event qualify for Masters Shanghai.

VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024 will take place from May 23 to June 9. The couple of weeks of intense competition will bring the best teams into action. With all the action live at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, VALORANT viewers can expect a massive crowd in attendance.
