Read on for the ALGS Year 5 Championship anthem’s release date plus what OZworld himself had to say about who inspired “STIM UP!”
The Apex Legends Global Series 2026 Championship (ALGS 2026 Championship), also known as the ALGS Year 5 Championship, kicks off soon, and ahead of the esports action, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) announced the official ALGS 2026 Championship anthem. It's "STIM UP!" by OZworld.

ALGS 2026 Championship anthem: STIMUP by OZworld
The official anthem for the ALGS Year 5 Championship is none other than "STIM UP!" by Japanese rapper OZworld. The release date for this song is Jan. 14, which is the same day as the start of the esports action in Sapporo, Japan.
Interested folks can now pre-download the song via Apple Music. They can also pre-order it via iTunes. Based on the artwork for "STIMUP," listeners can expect the song to be inspired by Octane.

According to a report by Electric Bloom Webzine, a publication that highlights Japanese music for English-speaking audiences, OZWorld also has a connection to the Apex Legends character. The report stated that OZWorld draws parallels between his own experience as a cane user and Octane's prosthetic legs.
"I absolutely love Apex Legends," OZworld said. "I'm drawn to its world, of course, but more than anything, I feel a real connection with the character Octane. I'm incredibly excited to appear at the ALGS in Sapporo, and I can't wait for the day to come. I'm eager to perform on stage as soon as possible!"

Prior to the "STIM UP!" reveal, EA confirmed OZworld's attendance at the ALGS 2026 Championship back in December as well. The official Apex Legends Instagram page announced the rapper as a headliner at the Daiwa House Premist Dome.
"We're delighted to announce that @ozworld_official will be headlining our #ALGS Championship in Sapporo, Japan!" the account stated.
