The Shadow Society event brings 36 new skins and a new Universal Heirloom to players.

Apex Legends' newest event is arriving soon. The Apex Shadow society event kicks off on March 26 and brings a new set of cosmetics, limited-time game mode (LTM), and a brand-new Apex Artifact. Alongside the new LTM, which seems to be a King of the Hill type mode, the new event has tons of rewards and cosmetics for players to earn. So, let's dive in and see what the mid-season collection event has to offer.

The Shadow Society collection rewards

The trailer for the Shadow Society event released earlier today and featured various legends sporting a new, secretive, dapper look while doing what they do best: eliminating other Legends. As always with Apex events, there's a new line of cosmetics coming with the Shadow Society event.

In total, there are 36 new themed cosmetics for the Shadow Society event, with featured skins for Mad Maggie, Horizon, Lifeline, Revenant, and Ballistic. The event is themed around 1920's mafia and secret societies kinds of looks, which is something the Apex community hasn't seen much of before.

The Shadow Society event takes a lot of its inspiration from the Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth crossover event. With the same number of rewards, a reward shop, and even the final Mythic rarity reward. Regardless, the community isn't thrilled about the timing of the event due to security breaches and more pressing issues at hand.

The new Universal Heirloom

The big reward for completing the Shadow Society collection is the new Apex Artifact. Simply, in other words, an Apex Artifact is a Universal Heirloom. Any Legend can equip the new Cobalt Katar and replace the melee with this one-handed blade. Similar to the Buster Blade from the Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth event, this is a rare drop from the event packs. Or in most cases, it's a guaranteed drop for completing the event.

As you complete the Shadow society collection, there are several milestone rewards for players — including the Apex Artifact. After unlocking five, 10, 20 and 36 items, players can earn various rewards. These rewards include a weapon charm, a holospray, a Fuse emote, and a unique death box. The Tax Collector death box, akin to the One-Winged Angel, death box is the final milestone reward for the event.

The event starts on March 26 and not only brings new skins to the fray but a promising new LTM for players to enjoy.
