DSG Enemy opens up about his emergency surgery.
For DSG Enemy, the time between the ALGS Championship and stepping out at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs could not have been more eventful. He was thrust into the spotlight after an impressive Champs performance, signed for Disguised and saw impressive stream growth.
However, all of that pales in comparison to what happened only a couple of weeks after games ended in Birmingham. DSG Enemy required emergency Heart Surgery to save his life. At just 18, this was a major and unexpected scare.
Thankfully, Enemy recovered well and alongside iiTzTimmy and Dezignful performed very well in the ALGS Pro League split. They finished 5th in a competitive North American region.

DSG Enemy has "started a second life" since surgery
Having a major health scare at such a young age is enough to change anyone. Enemy has had a renewed focus on his health since he started his recovery.
"I think I'm good. I'm very sure. I mean, I'm lifting. I've been going to the gym for the past couple of months, lifting weights I've never been able to lift before, PRing and a bunch of stuff, so as far as I know I'm doing good."
Has this experience changed the way that Enemy views life?
"[It has changed how I view life] very much. A lot actually. I used to be a very, I guess, was a very depressed kid back then. No care in the world. Like it's like, all right, it is what it is for anything that happens, any bad that happens. But I really learned how to appreciate everything I've had around me.
"I always make sure every morning I wake up and thank the stuff that I have in my life. It's changed a lot of my mental. I've I've I don't like ever let anything get to me anymore. It's usually just a positive mindset. It's like bad things happen. I know they'll happen, but you have to keep a positive mindset throughout the entire way. It's the only way to get through it."
"I pretty much started a second life."
DSG Enemy feels his experience and new approach to life has helped him handle the dynamic between himself and Dezign.
" I wouldn't be as mentally strong as I am now. Maybe I wouldn't tolerate Dezign. That's definitely a really high possibility. I probably wouldn't be caring as much about my job. It changed everything. It truly did. It's a new life. I pretty much started a second life."
