Ahead of the Oversight Split 2 Playoffs we look at which teams are playing, the top 5 teams to watch and how you can catch the action.

The Oversight Split 2 Playoffs take place on the 19th and 20th of January 2023. 20 teams will compete for a share of the $20k prize pool across 12 games.

The 20 teams qualified through six weeks of qualifiers, with the top teams on overall 'weekly points' qualifying for the finals.

The games start at 10pm UK/2pm PST/5pm EST each day. Like almost all Apex Legends tournaments the Oversight Split 2 Playoffs will take place on Worlds Edge and Storm Point.

With the London ALGS Playoffs taking place in just 2 weeks time, this event is valuable practice for the top teams in North America ahead of the global event. Equally, for teams who missed out on London like OpTic, this event is the beginning of their preparation for the second split of the Pro League.

5 teams to watch

TSM

TSM have been in fine form since the New Year, picking up where they left off in 2022 easily. They are one of the favourites for the London LAN and have been dominating International Scrims. Since the arrival of coach Raven they have had a laser focus on long term success and the Oversight Split 2 Playoffs will be a key preparation for LAN in February.

Sentinels

Sentinels aren't preparing for LAN, but they do have a huge reckoning on the horizon. They were relegated from the Pro League and will attempt to regain their place via the Pro League qualifier. With Teq back to coaching, can Sentinels prove to the scene that they are a top tier team once more.

NRG

NRG have not participated in almost any International Scrims ahead of LAN, deeming them poor practice. That means that the 12 games of the Oversight Playoffs are hugely significant practice for NRG. They won the Split One playoffs and fans will expect to see them at least be in the mix to defend their title.

MPS

One of the stronger non LAN qualified teams in the lobby, MPS have been steadily improving week on week and are one of the best unsigned teams across the whole of Apex Legends. Can Madness, Shooby and PowPow put down a marker as to why they deserve the backing of a major organisation ahead of the second split of Pro League?

OpTic Gaming

OpTic Gaming were incredibly disappointed to miss out on LAN, and have been playing with Dropped of Spacestation Gaming instead of Dooplex in some events recently. Could this be a signal of a potential roster swap instead of just a temporary sub? Keep an eye on who lines up for OpTic and how they perform.

Where to watch the Oversight Split 2 Playoffs

The Hyperluxe Twitch Channel will host the Split 2 Playoffs, with the event being casted by SpiderTiff and Dia on Thursday, and Zephyr and Fallout on Friday.
