Shopify Rebellion took a win in todays ALGS Pro League, but it was a close run thing.
Shopify Rebellion denied FURIA an iconic Pro League win, fighting against a horrible set of zones to take first place.
FURIA fell narrowly short of a iconic ALGS Pro League win despite losing Knoqd to a power cut. The team were forced to play with coach Jxmo after losing the former OpTiC and Cloud 9 star early on in the days action. They found a way to keep getting points on the board and were able to make-do without the firepower of Knoqd, making this a hugely impressive performance despite losing out at the death.
Shopify Rebellion snatch win in game six
Shopify Rebellion managed to see out a tense final game, dominating the centre of the zone despite having to make a monster rotation from the north of the map.
That rotate was a great example of the poor fortunes Shopify Rebellion faced today with zones. They often found themselves having to make huge manoeuvres, but still managed to force their way into the vast majority of end zones.
This performance sends Shopify Rebellions above Team Falcons in the overall standings. Koyful, Xynew and Emtee look to be an absolute force to be reckoned with and currently are firm favourites for the Pro League title with things firmly in their hands.
Koyful and Xynew play off eachother fantastically, both being able to drop huge kill totals and play a range of aggressive Legends. Emtee is firmly establishing himself as a top tier IGL, giving freedom to his two controller players to let loose in fights.

FURIA take second despite having to play with their coach
It's very rare that we see teams play with their sub in the ALGS. Several teams use their coach as a sub, primarily because of ALGS roster rules, and we have almost never seen a coach have to play in an official match.

In Jxmo, FURIA do have a coach with playing experience. However, Knoqd is a player nearly impossible to replace. Losing him would have been a perfectly valid excuse for FURIA to struggle, however they managed to persevere.
Interestingly, it seems having their coach in the game might have even helped them put an extra focus on positioning. FURIA were very placement heavy today, and having both the teams IGL and coach able to combine to read zones seems to have been beneficial.

Jxmo wasn't, obviously, outputting quite the same as Knoqd would have but he impressively held his own.

Crypto was an excellent choice by FURIA, letting Jxmo offer his experience and communication in game even if his mechanics are not quite at the level of Knoqd.
All in all this makes todays ALGS Pro League result an incredibly impressive feat for FURIA. What could have been a huge set back was easily dealt with. The 21 points earned today towards the overall standings are incredibly important, with FURIA moving significantly up the overall standings.
