London will not be calling the CDL anymore as the Carolina Royal Ravens take flight for the 2024 season.
The Royal Ravens departed London and found themselves a new home. ReKTGlobal announced the rebrand to the Carolina Royal Ravens. The announcement went live on social media at 8 a.m. PT.

The Royal Ravens made a cryptic post of sorts to their page earlier this morning to tease the announcement. It stated that the Ravens were "cleared for takeoff" with a "flight-time of eight hours and 53 minutes." However, they accelerated the announcement after a screenshot emerged of the Carolina Royal Ravens trademark.
Following the Miami Heretics announcement on Aug. 24, the Royal Ravens is the latest Call of Duty League (CDL) team to go through a full rebrand ahead of Modern Warfare III. This makes them the sixth team to go through a major rebrand since the formation of the CDL back in 2020. They have not yet announced information about their roster for the next season.
Rumors of a potential rebrand for the organization started circulating in June towards the end of the 2023 season. Now that these rumors have proven to be true, they are being met with some mixed results.
Although the Ravens have never had the biggest fanbase amongst the other CDL teams, the decision to "relocate" them is surprising. With both the Legion and now the Ravens having left their European roots behind them, this now means that Toronto Ultra stands as the only franchised team not currently based in the states. This has also furthered fears that we are unlikely to see a major CDL tournament taking place outside of North America any time soon.
