Cloud9 CS2 says farewell to Perfecto and HObbit

Ax1le and Boombl4 will be the two remaining players on the team.

Cloud9 has announced the departure of Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy and Abay "HObbit" Khassenov from its active CS2 roster. Analyst Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov is also no longer part of the team.

The organization's CEO confirmed that the team will rebuild its CS2 division with the two remaining athletes. Jack Etienne denies a total disbandment of the team.

Perfecto and HObbit out of Cloud9

The departures of Perfecto and HObbit indicate Cloud9's second major roster move. Denis "electroNic" Sharipov made a surprise transfer to Virtus.pro last week. Perfecto and electroNic arrived at Cloud9 together from Natus Vincere. In the Ukrainian organization, the players built an era that they were unable to replicate at Cloud9. The two arrived at the organization in July last year.

HObbit was at Cloud9 for two years. From the original cast of Cloud9's return to CS2, only Sergey "Ax1le" Rykhtorov and coach Konstantin "groove" Pikiner remain.

Rebuild coming for Cloud9 CS2

The team was unable to meet the community's high expectations and is now facing a reconstruction process. The process was confirmed by Jack Etienne. Ax1le and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov, the team's most recent addition and captain, will be the two players to remain in the project.

Cloud9's last significant achievement with Perfecto and HObbit on board was the PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 playoffs. Without electroNic, the team played the Esports World Cup qualifier with Daniil "alpha" Demin from Team Spirit Academy. Cloud9 lost in the final to the Danish team Sashi Esports.

The organization withdrew from participation in ESL Pro League (EPL) Season 19 due to lineup changes. SAW succeeded the North American organization in Group A of the competition.
