TI7 champion and Tundra offlaner Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov has some hot takes about teams heading into DreamLeague Season 22, and he’s released all his opinions in a long-form tier list. The ranking has some interesting takes that probably differ from those of the average player. Pro players rarely comment on the relative strength of teams, especially when they’re about to compete against them. This gives fans a rare look into the pro meta from one of the game’s most decorated offlaners.
Tundra released the tier list on Feb. 25 through its official YouTube channel. The video consists of MinD_ContRoL and caster Admir "lizZard" Salkanović talking through each team before placing them on the list. While most of the picks are agreeable, the community has questions the ratings of some teams.
MinD_ContRoL’s team tier list for DreamLeague Season 22
The most controversial take of the DreamLeague Season 22 tier list is OG in A tier. The squad recently benched long-time carry Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev after a disappointing group stage exit at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. MinD_ContRoL cited the team’s performance in scrims and qualifiers, using his team’s loss in the qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham as an example. It’s not clear if MC factored in Enzo "Timado" Gianoli’s strength as a stand-in.
The tier list also has Shopify Rebellion in the C tier below Virtus.pro, Heroic, and Team Secret. MinD_ContRoL claimed that the team heavily depends on Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, who is known to be experiencing health issues. He criticized the North American scene in general, agreeing with lizZard that NA is the fifth-best region. Lastly, he commented that Arteezy can now use Harpoon to escape from ward spots, nerfing the memetic “Cliffteezy” strategy.
The rest of the tier list is fairly predictable. The TI champ ranks Falcons, Liquid, and Spirit in the top tier. BetBoom and Gaimin Gladiators rank just below them with several teams in the A tier. Of course, MC’s squad is close to that elite group. Only time will tell if his DreamLeague Season 22 tier list will match up to reality.
