The VALORANT 10.0 patch notes are here, describing an update that will definitely shake up the game’s meta.

The new year is here and so are the first set of VALORANT patch notes for 2025. They give us all the details regarding the 10.0 update in VALORANT. That starts Season 2025 // Act 1, bringing with it a new Agent, a new cosmetic type, and more.

Let's take a look at everything you can expect once you update your game on January 8.

Dominate with Tejo when he arrives in VALORANT 10.0

The most anticipated part about the VALORANT 10.0 update is Tejo. Go ahead and peep all of his abilities and see if he's a fit as your new main:

Show off with the new Flex cosmetic

A new cosmetic type is being introduced for the first time in VALORANT. Flex is an item you can equip through your spray wheel. See all the details about the new item type below:

Check the new map rotation coming with the VALORANT 10.0 update

A new Premier schedule begins

Get ready to fight your way through another round of Premier! Matches begin on January 15, and we've got the full schedule for what many are calling Episode 10 Act 1:

Gameplay system updates

Some pretty under the radar, but rather impactful gameplay system updates are coming through the VALORANT 10.0 patch notes:

  • Automatic Remake: If a player goes AFK in the first round of a game, a remake vote is automatically cast. It now only requires a majority vote to pass, rather than everyone still on the team.
  • Ping System: The new ping system has arrived, but this update allows you to set a Cheat in custom games to show map pings in the world.

Bug fixes in the VALORANT 10.0 patch notes

Last up for the VALORANT 10.0 patch notes are bug fixes coming in the update. There are a handful, so take a look:

  • Fixed a bug causing some abilities to display as the wrong team color for observers.
  • Fixed an issue where Clove's Not Dead Yet could fail to cast when pressed in the last few frames of the activation window.
  • Fixed a bug where Skye's Guiding Light flash duration was not scaling properly.
  • Fixed a bug where Skye's Guiding Light hit confirm sound and VO would not play when hitting Yoru's Fakeout clone.
  • Fixed an issue where shooting through Cypher's Cyber Cage or Viper's Poison Cloud could cheat wall penetration if they were placed too close to level geometry.
  • Fixed an issue where Phoenix's Blaze referenced a Harbor projectile asset for a few frames.
  • Fixed an issue where Phoenix's Blaze's visual effects could be slightly offset.
  • Improved the performance around Brimstone's Sky Smoke dissipation effect.
  • Fixed an issue where specific flashbang projectile visuals would stick around for observers.
  • Fixed an issue where players taking damage with Regen Shields would play hit-confirm sounds regardless of player visibility.
  • Fixed a bug where if you were in ADS, weapons occasionally exit and re-enter ADS without any input.

That's all for now, but be sure to stay tuned to esports.gg for more esports news and VALORANT coverage.
