House of the Dragon Season 2: Everything we know

With the first season premiering back in 2022, Game of Thrones fans have been waiting patiently for an update on season two for House of the Dragon. The popular Max show has helped expand the world of Westeros, adding to the realm with dragons, White Walkers and more.

Now, with an official trailer for season two dropping, we finally have some additional information on House of the Dragon season two.

Uniquely enough, House of the Dragon season two has dropped two specific trailers, giving us a look at Team Green and Team Black, giving fans a look at both sides of the conflict.

Official Green trailer:

The Greens are a political faction within the world of Westeros that support the claim of Aegon II Targaryen to the Iron Throne.

Official Black trailer:

The Black team of Westeros primarily supports one of the Velaryons taking the Iron Throne, making them a heavy opponent against the rest of the Targaryens.

The official release date for episode one of season two of the House of the Dragon is June 16, 2024.

While we obviously do not know the entire plot for season two, we do know that season one focused primarily on the events that led up to the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. This was a Targaryen civil war fought over the succession to the Iron Throne of Westeros.

Season two is a direct extension of the conflict seen arise during the entirety of the first season. With the stakes being high, and many characters out for their enemy's head on a stake, we are set to see a season filled with suspense, action, dragons and more.
