BetBoom Team is the first Dota 2 team invited to Esports World Cup

BetBoom Team is the first of twenty teams that have been invited to Esports World Cup.

Eastern Europe's juggernaut, BetBoom Team, has officially confirmed its slot in the gigantic Esports World Cup. EWC revealed this invitation as BetBoom marched towards the grand final of DreamLeague Season 22, revealing that the team has scored enough EPT Points to attend its most significant event.

BetBoom Team Dota 2 roster is as follows:

  • Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko
  • Danil "gpk" Skutin
  • Matvey "MieRo`" Vasyunin
  • Vitalie "Save-" Melnic
  • Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek

BetBoom Team is going to the Esports World Cup

Following BetBoom Team's top 3 finish at the DreamLeague Season 22, Esports World Cup confirms that the team has earned a direct invite to the lucrative event. BetBoom Team will be one of the twenty teams that will compete at EWC.

But how did BetBoom Team manage to qualify? The Eastern European all-star lineup may not have won a single tournament, but they have been consistently on top in multiple ESL Pro Tour events. Since late 2023, BetBoom has seen top 3 finishes in three consecutive DreamLeague events. On top of that, they also scored a fourth place finish at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur. This leads to BetBoom accumulating enough EPT Points to rank first on the leaderboard and earning a direct invite to the Esports World Cup.

What is the EWC?

Esports World Cup, formerly Gamers8, is an eight-week long esports competition which fields multiple esports titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, StarCraft, and CS:GO. The Esports World Cup is organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, a Saudi Arabian government-founded non-profit organization.

Esports World Cup will pit organizations and players across many esports titles to select the best club, or team, in the world. The lengthy tournament will begin in July, though specific dates have yet to be revealed.
