What will Season 22 bring to the game?
The main focus for the Season 22 release in Apex Legends is the brand new map, E-District. It has been a long time since a new map came to the Battle Royale, and E-District looks and feels totally different to anything else the game has to offer.
In addition Season 22 will release the long rumoured Akimbo feature for Pistols. This will apply to the P2020 and Mozambique initially, with those weapons getting a few buffs when in Akimbo mode. Akimbo could provide a fresh and exciting option for a secondary, breathing life into two underused weapons.
Further to all of that, there is a new 'game sense' mechanic being rolled out into all Battle Royale games. We saw something very similar in the Solos LTM, and Devs hope this will make the game more accessible.
Overall, Apex Season 22 seems like it will be well worth jumping into on release. So make sure to clear your calendar and make some space on your hard drive ready for August 6.
