Stuck with your Crownfall progression? Can't get the tokens you want for the life of you? You are not alone! Which is why we have prepared some tips for you on how to collect tokens efficiently to complete Act I of Crownfall as fast as possible.



Tips for fast and easy Crownfall token collection



1) Play Turbo Mode







Unfortunately, a lot of the ways that make Crownfall token collection easy comes later in the Overworld Map. So you still need to tough it out for the first few steps of the map. At least until you get to the Token Trader, which is the fifth stop of The Road to Midgate. This leads to our first tip: Play Turbo Mode.



While Turbo Mode is not the most glamorous and exciting way to play Dota, it always helps with completing challenges such as this one. Turbo Mode average around 20-30 minutes of gameplay, allowing for a faster grind. With Turbo Mode, however, you can only get two out of the three tokens that each hero provides at random if you win and nothing if you lose. In normal games, you get all three tokens for winning and one at random if you lose. The pros and cons are pretty distinct. Nonetheless, Turbo Mode still serves its purpose well in helping you collect Crownfall tokens as quickly as possible.



2) Diversify your Crownfall token inventory

As you play through Crownfall, you'll notice that the required tokens to progress forward become more specific. In the example above, you need Durable and Healer tokens to unlock the next stop. Clicking it shows that the heroes that offer both tokens are Necrophos and Omniknight. In this case, since you do not have either token, the best course of action is to in fact play the recommended hero. However, if you have one of the them, then it is better to play another hero that provides other tokens. The key is to check your inventory and collect missing tokens that you might need in the

ESL One Birmingham kicks off the group stage today, featuring six two-game series in each group. In the second round of Group A, BetBoom Team was caught using an in-game bug. The team's Shadow Demon, played by Save-, upgraded his level three ultimate skill at only level 12, and successfully won a team fight against G2.iG.







Following reports of the bug, ESL Dota 2 announced an official response and update. After game one ended, BetBoom Team was penalized with a Level two Draft Penalty in the next game. "Due to abuse of a bug BetBoom Team will be receiving a Level 2 Draft Penalty for their next game against G2 x IG.," ESL posted.

How did they abuse the bug?



Lets first take a look at Shadow Demon's abilities. The Demonic Cleanse is an ability that can only be claimed by getting the Aghanim's Shard. After getting this ability, both Demonic Cleanse and its ultimate skill, Demonic Purge, can be leveled up at the same time. That means, the hero can get a level three Demonic Cleanse and Demonic Purge at level 18.



But after Valve released some bug fixes around two days ago, you can now level up the Demonic Cleanse as a normal skill. Since both skills are linked abilities, Shadow Demon can acquire the level three ultimate skill right after it gets the Aghanim's Shard. In this game, Save- obtained his Shard at level 10, and used the next two skill points to upgrade both skills. Despite using the Shadow Demon bug, BetBoom Team eventually lost the game to G2.iG.

It was only a matter of time before Dota 2 added a fishing minigame, and Crownfall finally did it. In a game full of playable fish and characters confirmed to eat them, the new game mode features Vengeful Spirit of all heroes tossing out lines. However, the minigame isn't just for show. Players can earn up to ten random tokens, which will go a long way toward unlocking all the fancy rewards in The Markets of Midgate.

Crownfall fishing guide for Dota 2



The new fishing minigame is part of The Markets of Midgate on the ninth mandatory node of the map. The side event featured Tidehunter teaching Vengeful Spirit how to fish. The lore of the fishing minigame is that Venge must give a local merchant a fish to prove that she will stand up for the oppressed Flightless underclass. Don't ask questions, that's just how it goes.



The minigame is pretty typical for a video game fishing side activity. Players chuck out a line, react to the sinker going under, and then finesse a bar to reel it in. However, there are a couple of tips that can help you reach the 10,000 mark.




Prioritize fish size above all else



Sparking fish are variants that will grant bonus points, but the larger fish are still the better targets



Fish swim around at varying speeds, so wait for your target to slow down before sending out the line

Fish can swim underneath the fountain, so there may be a hidden minnow waiting to snipe your max power cast



The bobber appears to always attract the fish closest to its landing spot, so wait for a big catch to swim out on its own before casting



Players have to wait for the bobber to splash to start reeling, so don't click as soon as it goes underwater



The reeling minigame appears to get easier after the first few seconds, so waiting

The Candyworks minigame has returned for Crownfall, and once again offers free Arcanas of your favorite heroes. Here's everything you need to know about it and how to get your hands on those free Arcanas.



How to access Candyworks Caravan in Crownfall







First released in the 2022 Battle Pass, the Candyworks is a much welcomed addition to Dota. Various kinds of in-game goodies such as treasure sets, Immortal gears and Arcanas are obtainable through a fun minigame. Now, it's back in the current Crownfall patch and dubbed as the Crownfall Candyworks Caravan—a similar but slightly simpler version of its predecessor.



To unlock the Candyworks Caravan and start obtaining free Arcanas, you need to play the first Act of Crownfall. By playing Dota games and collecting the necessary tokens, you can open the path toward the Candyworks Caravan. As the required tokens are random for each player, you need a little luck to get there. Needless to say, winning your games ensures the quickest route to the Caravan. For more details on understanding how the Crownfall event works, refer to our guide below.






Collect candies and get free Arcanas, Immortal treasures and more!



Just like the previous Candyworks, you can get Arcanas and all kinds of other treasures for free by trading in various types of candies. However, the Crownfall Candyworks is slightly different than that of the 2022 Battle Pass. For instance, instead of leveling up your Battle Pass to get Candy Sacks, you simply need to progress through the Crownfall Overworld Map by winning your Dota games. However, there are only two items displayed this time instead of three, making it more difficult for Arcanas to appear. Otherwise, everything else remains the same.

Last week, Yang announced the Elephant reunion in his stream. As reported, Chalice, Pyw, and 皮球 will be joining Elephant 2.0, and they were only missing a midlaner. "I will ask Somnus if he wants to play, otherwise I will ask Paparazi灬." Said Yang: "Pubs are too boring, might as well play competitive Dota.

This means that two former Elephant players, or rather four Asian Games champions, will be teaming up again. From what Somnus said, he has been playing Dota 2 for such a long time and doesn't want to miss a single year (for The International Qualifier). Their roster is as follows:

Pos 2: Somnus (Former Elephant player, Asian Games champion)



Pos 3: Yang (Former Elephant player)

The Elephant 2.0 hasn't decided on a team name yet, with only the nickname "Aged Elephant" in the Chinese community. They will officially restart in May and participate in some Dota 2 events.



What tournaments will they attend?



The original Elephant was formed in 2020 with the superstar roster of Paparazi, Somnus, Yang, fym and RedPanda. They immediately found success by winning the China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2. Initially, this team was supposed to last for two years according to their contracts, but they disbanded very quickly after the disappointing result in The International 2021, only placing 13-16th.



The first Dota 2 event that the new Elephant will join will be hosted by Chinese streaming platform Douyu, and will feature some famous player and streamer teams competing against each other, such as Zhou, xiao8, shiro. The event will officially kick off on May 1, but the Elephant 2.0 will have a show match against Sylar, Fade from the team "No responsibility" around April 23.

ESL One Birmingham is one highly anticipated Dota 2 tournament, not only because of its high stakes but also because of its LAN pedigree. But a recent roster adjustment right before the tournament starts makes it all the more spicy. 



Team Falcons' midlaner, Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, stumbled upon VISA issues, barring him from entering the tournament. To fill in his shoes, renowned prodigy, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, has stepped up to stand in for Team Falcons. The midlaner for Nigma Galaxy will temporarily play for Team Falcons at the ESL One Birmingham.

An interesting shift in the script 



Throughout the year so far, Team Falcons exuded a dominant performance with a mix of brilliant TI winning veterans and bloodthirsty youngsters. Malr1ne has been quite the character to follow, a bold 19-year-old player with insanely great mid mechanics. He has showcased a great chemistry with Falcons especially in the presence of his close friend, Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf.

However, Malr1ne will miss ESL One Birmingham and his replacement being SumaiL makes things so much more interesting. SumaiL has a prominent reputation in Dota 2 and it hasn't really died down despite his lackluster achievements in the past few years. Many still hail him as one of the greatest Dota 2 players in the world. And this ESL One Birmingham run with one of the most solid lineups in the tournament will serve as a litmus test for SumaiL's capabilities.

According to Liquipedia, SumaiL will be standing in for Malr1ne only at "the start of the tournament." This means that Malr1ne is likely waiting for his VISA approval and will be heading to Birmingham, United Kingdom as soon as the path is clear.

Crownfall has a ton of story content for Dota 2 lore fans, but players need to pay up to see the Meepo sidequest early on. The short distraction includes ten scenes of dialogue between Meepo and the traveling trio of Venge, Skywrath Mage, and Scree'Auk. The heroes of our story even engage in a little bit of crime in between falling victim to it themselves.

The story starts with Meepo snatching Scree'Auk's coinpurse before teleporting away. Surely he will be the villain of the story?

Chapter 3



Getting the sympathy of Skywrath Mage is a feat in and of its own. Also, it's nice to know that Meepo is vulnerable in the lore too.

































Chapter 4



Execution for reneging on a bet is a good example of how corrupt Imperia's government has become. Dragonus doesn't seem to see anything wrong with that, hypocrite that he is.

































Chapter 5



The Meepos come up with a plan, though Vengeful Spirit is quick to shut it down.













































Chapter 6



The event after this chapter involves picking one of three heroes to save from the chopping block, granting you their full token value in the process. In our case, we left Sniper and Nature's Prophet to die. 





































Chapter 7



This chapter notably provides a lore explanation for Meepo's new Mocking Bird set. Sure enough, the new custom taunt really is annoying.









































Chapter 8



The sound effects for the fight include a melee creep hit, a Marci punch, a tower shot, and a Techies

The Meepo Crownfall sidequest story - for free!

The Crownfall update gave a brand new adventure for Dota 2 players to dive into as they explore the markets of Midgate. As players work through the map, they'll encounter two optional side quests. However, they are locked behind a Midgate Pathfinder pack, which costs around $15 USD. However, fret not, as we'll recap the Missing Smith side quest so you don't need to pay. 



The Missing Smith Side quest is pretty short, with the quest only taking six chapters to conclude. At least compared to Meepo's Crownfall side quest called Divided We Fall, which is 10 chapters. Regardless, we've complied all the dialogue from The Missing Smith Side Quest into one place.

The trio confronts Riki, asking why he's following them. However, that's not the case. Riki is on a quest of his own, searching for his knife. 

























Chapter 4 



It turns out that Riki has hired the best blacksmith on this side of the Abyss, Shifty Busko to craft him a new dagger. Despite Riki paying in advance, the blacksmith has gone missing. This predicament has given the same level of frustration that support players that have to play against Riki, to Riki. And so Shen decides she wants to help Riki find the Smith, and subsequently his dagger.

<p>The ESL One Berlin Major’s in-person attendance starts on May 5, with eager Dota 2 fans able to watch in person at the Velodrom in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin for the final three days of the event. <p>The Berlin Major will soon reach its peak! Starting May 5, the main stage events will commence. Lucky fans who have gotten tickets will get to enjoy the penultimate moment of the event at the Berlin Veldrom. However, if you are in town but without tickets, there is still hope for you yet! OG will once again bring back the OG Monkey Business Show live at Berlin.</p>

<p>The OG Monkey Business Show will commence every day of the Berlin Major from May 5 - 7 after the final match of the day and will be hosted by Johan "N0tail" Sundstein. It will be located at the LVL World of Gaming, which is the same venue as the OG Berlin Hub. There, you also get to enjoy daily watch parties as well as check out exclusive OG merchandises and activities. It will be an event you do not want to miss especially if you are an OG fan.</p>

<h2>What's it like at the OG Monkey Business Show Live?</h2>



<p>Previously at Singapore, for TI11, OG invited a number of special guests including Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen and Kyle Freedman. A signing session with your favorite Dota 2 celebrities is highly likely so be sure to not miss out on the event if you are in town.</p>



<p>The Berlin Major main stage will begin on May 5. The first match will be an elimination series between Team Aster and Team Liquid on May 5, 12:00 p.m. CET.</p>
