It’s all heading to Europe again next year.

Riot Games has announced the location of Worlds 2024 and it is all heading to Europe. Worlds 2024 will take place at the O2 Arena in London in November 2024, Riot announced on the official broadcast before the 2023 Grand Finals.

When does Worlds 2024 take place?

The Worlds 2024 Grand Finals will take place in London on November 2, 2024. This is significantly earlier compared to this year’s schedule where the Grand Finals took place on the 19th.

Riot has only announced the venue for the Grand Finals - O2 arena in London, without specifying the location for the rest of the event. But it is relatively safe to assume that Worlds 2024 will take place in Europe culminating in the London Finals.

“We’re thrilled to bring the World Final to the UK for the first time. Worlds is a global celebration of the best of League of Legends, and London’s rich history and modern metropolis is a perfect backdrop for the biggest stage in our sport,” said  Naz Aletaha, Global Head of LoL Esports. “We were blown away by the passion and energy from fans in London throughout the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational, and we’re eager to welcome them to the O2 where our finalists will take the same stage as the many icons who preceded them.”

This would be the fifth time that Worlds takes place in Europe. The very first League of Legends Worlds Championship was in Europe followed by events in 2015, 2019 and 2021. The last time Worlds was in Europe, EDward Gaming took home the trophy after a very competitive 3-2 victory over DAMWON gaming.

The Worlds 2023 Grand Finals is taking place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea. The Grand Finals will see Weibo Gaming and T1 esports go up against each other. They are competing for the glory of being the best at League of Legends as well as a sizeable prize pool.

The O2 Arena can host up to 20,000 fans. League of Legends players can expect a massive and very loud crowd at the venue. Earlier this year, Riot Games hosted the MSI Invitational at the Copperbox Arena in London
