Mobile Legends Chip: Release date, abilities, and more details

Chip will be the 124th Mobile Legends hero.

Moonton's popular mobile MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is cooking up an adorable hero with unique abilities. The 124th hero, Chip the Phase Technician, will arrive in the Land of Dawn, bringing an entirely new dimension of gameplay with his global teleportation skills. But when exactly can we anticipate Chip's release in Mobile Legends?

When is Chip's release date in Mobile Legends

Moonton has yet to announce the official release date for Chip. But according to leaks, we can expect Mobile Legends to welcome Chip on March 16th, 2024.

What are Chip's abilities in Mobile Legends

Chip may be a tiny creature, but it rides in its massive machine making him one durable monster. This hero is designated to be a support that can also tank and deal crowd control (CC). Due to his teleportation abilities, he makes an insanely good roamer that can gank and catch the enemy by surprise. Watch Chip's gameplay trailer below and a description of his abilities!

Passive: Snack time!

Chip has a unique passive ability where he can eat potato chips out of combat. Eating a whole bag of chips, which takes 5 bites, allows Chip to regenerate HP. However, once he finishes eating a bag, he cannot eat again for 5 seconds. This ability provides Chip with a way to sustain himself during downtime, but it has a cooldown period between uses.

Skill 1: Crash Course

This ability involves him slamming his hovercraft into the ground, dealing Magic Damage based on the target's Max HP. This also applies Chip's Mark to enemy heroes hit. Upon hitting an enemy hero, Chip gains a shield and his next Basic Attack becomes ranged, hitting nearby enemies with Chip's Mark. Detonating the mark deals Magic Damage and stuns each target briefly. This ability offers both offensive and defensive capabilities, allowing Chip to deal damage while also gaining a shield for protection.

Skill 2: Overtime

Chip's Overtime allows him to dash forward for 2 seconds, gradually gaining speed until he reaches 65% extra Movement Speed. He then maintains this maximum speed for 2 seconds. After dashing, his next Basic Attack will cause him to charge at the enemy, dealing Magic Damage and knocking them back slightly. This ability grants Chip increased mobility and allows him to engage or disengage from enemies effectively while also dealing damage in the process.

Ultimate: Shortcut

With good coordination, a simple Shortcut into the enemy base can catch the opponents defenseless.

Chip's most exciting ability is Shortcut, a global teleportation ability. You can drop the Main Portal on an enemy hero, dealing Magic Damage and slowing them. Connecting Portals are created near allied heroes and behind the allied Base. These portals lasts up to 10 seconds, allowing heroes to teleport between them or return to their original location. The Main Portal also deals significant Magic Damage to nearby targets after a delay and knocks them airborne. It inherits a portion of Chip's HP, providing both offensive and defensive utility to the team during battles.

As soon as its release, players can grab the new hero Chip for 32000 gold or 599 Diamonds. Have fun dropping portals all over the map soon! Stay tuned to esports.gg for more Mobile Legends news and updates.
