R6 joins Esports World Cup competition

R6 is not left out of the esports festival.

Rainbow Six Siege (R6) will be present at the Esports World Cup competition. The announcement was made on the event's social media page. The event will take place in Saudi Arabia, but its official date has not been announced yet.

R6 competition enters Esports World Cup

The Esports World Cup added R6 to the list of games that will be featured in a tournament. Several other games were also confirmed in addition to R6:

  • Honor of Kings
  • StarCraft 3
  • Dota 2
  • CS2
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
  • Free Fire
  • PUBG
  • PUBG Mobile

R6 entered the Esports World Cup at a particularly good time. The game recorded the highest number of players on Steam since April 2021. Additionally, the 2024 Six Invitational set records as the most-watched R6 esports event, achieving the highest peak viewership.

Regional leagues for R6 will return this month. The teams will fight for a place in the Manchester Major in the first split. You can check the location of the upcoming international R6 tournaments here.

What we know about the Esports World Cup

In addition to the games that will be at the event, a few other details about the Esports World Cup are public. According to the event's official website, there will be eight weeks of high competition in the summer of 2024.
