Slayer in Guilty Gear Strive: Release date and gameplay

Guilty Gear Strive (GGST) was released almost three years ago, and it’s still getting updates and new characters. During the GGST tournament at Evo Japan 2024, the developers from Arc System Works fully revealed the next daredevil, Slayer.

First, we saw a clear hint at what’s coming next to the game. The “who’s that Pokemon” shape clearly belongs to Slayer.

Then, after the GGST Grand Final at Evo Japan, we got the official announcement.

GGST Slayer will be available on May 30, 2024.

According to the character trailer, Slayer has effective punishment tools. Opponents should avoid making mistakes and whiff. Slayer players should be ready to react quickly and know what moves of their current opponent can be punished.

The neutral moveset of Slayer in GGST involves whirling around close-range attacks. More about the character should be shown in a traditional GGST character guide.

Alongside Slayer, the developers have announced a new GGST stage. It’s Amber Fest With Kind Neighbors.
