May is jam packed in Pokémon GO.
May 2024 looks set to be an exciting month in Pokémon GO! We're getting a debut for TWO new Ultra Beasts, and the continuation of more Tapu's releasing with Nature's Madness.
So, what should you be looking out for in Pokémon GO this May?

May 2024 will see a wide array of Pokémon GO events. Here are the dates for your calendars this month:

May 2024 brings several exciting Pokémon GO events. We have the already announced Battle Weekend and Rivals Week. In addition we're getting a Research Day, that seems to be bird themed, and an Incense Day.
We don't yet know the Pokémon for the May Community Day, but if rumours are to be believed we could see Popplio. This would round out the three starters, with Rowlet and Litten already having had Community Days.

May 2024 is set to be an exciting month for trainers. We get Tapu Fini with the very powerful Natures Madness Charged Attack. Plus, trainers will also finally see the debuts of Blacephalon and Stakataka. Blacephalon is set to be a very very powerful Pokémon, so will be well worth grinding.

Nothing mind-blowing for May 2024 Mega Raids in Pokémon GO sadly. It has been a while since we've seen Mega Alakazam and Mega Pidgeot, so if you don't have Mega Energy for these Pokémon these will be worth battling.
Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids in May will see Shadow Suicune available, with the Shiny version released. This is a very strong Shadow Pokémon and if you can get a group together, another good use of your time in Pokémon GO this month.
Other highlights
As always, there will be a range of Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours in May 2024. May 7th's Spotlight Hour will have 2x Transfer Candy, a great chance to clear out your extra Pokémon.
Additionally, but all trainers will get the Diancie Special Research, at no cost, on May 1.
