YapzOr returns to play with Team Secret ME in the Riyadh Masters MENA qualifier

After almost a year of break, YapzOr makes a quiet return to the competitive scene with Team Secret ME.

Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat quietly returns to the pro scene, joining hands with no other than former captain, Clement "Puppey" Ivanov, under the same organization. They participated in the Riyadh Masters MENA qualifier with a new label called Team Secret ME - and alongside them new faces.

YapzOr's last appearance in the pro scene was with Team Secret in July 2022. He had taken an extended break from competitive Dota 2 due to health issues. But it seems like YapzOr is ready to be back on track with his recent appearance in the competitive scene. And interestingly, he is assuming the offlane position, a change to his previous role as a position four.

Team Secret ME joins the Riyadh Masters MENA qualifier

Today, on June 20th, Team Secret shared its squad participating in an online Dota 2 tournament. "Just a bunch of guys doing side quests," it stated. The picture shows only two of Secret's original members, Puppey and Crystallis, among three other players. And YapzOr is one of them.

It appears that the squad had registered for Riyadh Masters MENA (Middle East and North Africa) open qualifiers and successfully grabbed a slot in the MENA qualifier. On the Liquipedia page, Team Secret's squad is registered as Team Secret ME (Middle East) with Jordan's flag embedded on Secret's team logo.

The roster for Team Secret ME is as follows:

  • Remco "Crystallis" Arets
  • Anas "MagE-" Hirzallah
  • Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat
  • Mohammad "AfrOmoush" Eis
  • Clement "Puppey" Ivanov

This lineup consists of the original Team Secret lineup - Puppey and Crystalis - with three Jordanian players including YapzOr. This is presumably to fit the requirements to compete in the MENA region.

MagE- is a 25-year-old Jordanian who last played mid for Team Singularity. AfrOmoush, also a Jordanian, is a 26-year-old pos 4 who last played for CDUB Esports in North America.

Riyadh Masters MENA Qualifier begins tomorrow, June 21. Quest Esports, Nigma Galaxy, Dota Enjoyer, and Team Secret ME will compete for one coveted slot at the $15 million USD championship.
