Southeast Asia (SEA) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) for Tour 2 is boiling with intense competition in the middle of Week 2. Currently, there are four teams sharing the top spot - Army Geniuses, Execration, Talon Esports, and Team SMG. And today, we'll see Talon Esports vs Team SMG take place to finally see a team take the lead.

In this series, Talon Esports is the favorites as they have consistently dominated the SEA region. The team is also fresh off an impressive run at the Lima Major, securing a record-breaking third-place finish. Team SMG, on the other hand, has always been a threat in the region. It is led by star player, Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, and although the team has struggled to find their footing in the past seasons, this Tour sees a more refined performance by SMG. Who will prevail in this important series?

The first game was smooth sailing for Team SMG. The Nature's Prophet on MidOne proved to be a nuisance for 23's Morphling, especially entering the late game. Any chances of recovery were shut down as he couldn't play around the upgraded Sprout that would leash him and restrain his movements. SMG also grew a massive net worth lead with 60K at +50 minutes which ultimately gave them a convincing win.

Game two took an interesting turn as Talon Esports drafted an unconventional Night Stalker on 23savage. Despite the odd pick, the game unfolded in Talon's favor as the team brought insane aggression from the very start.

By only 20 minutes, the team accumulated 30 kills and they did not slow down. They constantly picked off kills and while SMG spent most of their time trying to get some control of the map, Talon raked a giant net worth lead. Jabz led with a 22K net worth and SMG's cores struggled to reach the 10K mark. SMG wave the white flag and surrendered after 28 minutes.

It seems like the Nature's Prophet pick is absolutely overpowered for both teams and we would expect the hero to be taken out with a ban. However, game three sees NP slip into the hands of Jabz once again and he didn't disappoint.

Talon took valuable fight after fight in the third game and Team SMG could not recuperate. At one point, Talon teamwiped SMG and 23savage typed a subtle all-chat. They ended the reverse sweep in style with a Rampage for Jabz.
